• The course duration for Open Source End User’s training is five weeks and for Open Source System’s Administration training is eight weeks. Course duration for Basic IT Training is four weeks. Time duration of all trainings are three hours per day and six days a week. Certificates will be awarded at the end of training to successful candidates.
• Course contents for various training courses include:
  • Systems Administration Training: Linux Operating System & Database Administration of MySQL Database.
  • End User’s Training: Introduction & Basic Commands of Linux Operating System, Star Office, E-mail/Internet.
  • Basic IT Training: Windows Operating System - MS Office / Linux Operating System - Star Office, E-mail/Internet.
• Basic IT Training is only for Government employees working in BPS-05 or above. Talented Private individuals can participate in both End User’s and System Administration Trainings on Open Source.
• The Training will be free for participants of Public Sector Organizations. However, 90% cost of the private individuals will be borne by the Government while remaining cost will be paid by the Private individuals direct to the training institute.
• The basic educational requirement for End User’s Training on Open Source Software and Basic IT Training is Matriculation & for Systems Administration Training on Open Source is Graduation.
• Training is expected to commence shortly.
• Nominated individuals will be informed through mail/telephone.
• Nominations may be sent to Director (Training), Pakistan Computer Bureau on the Downloadable Proforma from the download links above.

• Government employees working in BPS 05 or above are eligible for Basic IT & Linux End User course.
• Government employees working in BPS 16 or above are eligible for Linux System Administration course.
• Talented private individuals are only eligible for Linux End User & Linux System Administration courses.
• Please fill all columns of the Application Form in capital letters.
• Attach attested copy of Computerized National ID Card (CNIC) with the application.
• Attested copy of Matric certificate for End User/Basic IT and Graduation Degree for System Administration course is required.
• The training classes will be held in the afternoon.
• The application forms from Government Employees are required to be signed and stamped by the nominating authority. In case of collective nominations, the forms can be submitted with forwarding letter.
