IT Human Resource Support to Ministries/Departments
|
| Project Concept: |
E-Government infrastructure consisting of hardware, software and networking is being
established in various Departments of Federal Government. The main problem being faced by most
of these Departments is that there are no System Administrators available in the regular pool
of these Departments who can run and maintain the system/ networks and take care of the security.
The objectives of the propose project are: (i) To create a pool of 10 Network Administrators to
provide technical assistance to the Federal Ministries ( already provided with Networking
Infrastructure) for limited period of 2 years for LAN maintenance and upkeep. (ii) To train the staff
of Ministries to maintain and operate the systems/networks.

| Execution Methodology: |
The proposed project involves the provision of I.T. System Administrators
for the running of Local Area Networks installed at Ministries/Divisions.
Presently, about ten Federal Ministries are provided with the Network.
All these Ministries will be provided support
from the current project. For this purpose, the Pakistan Computer
Bureau will create a pool of 10 System/Network Administrators. The
services of System/Network Administrator are
being obtained on contract through open advertisement. |
