Project Name:
I.T./Computer Science Teachers, Lab. Incharges and Computer Labs. Project-Matching Programme with the Government of Balochistan

Project Concept:
The scope of this project is (i) To equip 95 selected High Schools, Higher Secondary Schools and Inter Colleges with IT Teachers, Computer Labs and Labs Incharges (ii) To raise the standard of teaching in Computer Science in the Government's High Schools. (iii) To provide employment opportunities to the educated youth in the country in subjects relating to Computer Science/I.T. The project is being undertaken under directions of the NEC meeting (Case No. NEC 2/1/2002 dated 08.06.2002).

Executing Agency:
Government of Balochistan & Pakistan Computer Bureau (M/o Information Technology)

Execution Methodology:
The execution/detailed monitoring of the project will be the responsibility of the Provincial Government and where the Pakistan Computer Bureau will facilitate/support and carry out overall supervision/monitoring of the project. The educational institutions where the facilities will be provided are to be selected by the Province. The appointments of IT Teachers and Lab Incharges will be made through open advertisement and a selection committee headed by Provincial Education Secretary will conduct the recruitment activities. The committee for the procurement of the equipment will be headed by the Provincial IT Secretary.

Rs. 172.35 million
